Supporting the People who Support our Kids

Seen. Appreciated. Supported.
Our mission is to ensure Red Wing Public Schools teachers and staff feel seen, appreciated and supported by connecting our community with the people who serve our students every day, celebrating their dedication and helping provide the resources, experiences and support they need to make a difference.
CELEBRATE
Each May, we bring our community together for Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, a week dedicated to celebrating the incredible people who serve Red Wing students.
SUPPORT
Throughout the school year, our Wish List gives teachers and staff a place to ask for the needs, wants and dreams that don’t always fit within traditional funding.
CONNECT
We connect those opportunities with local businesses, organizations and community members who want to help.
Needs. Wants. Dreams.
Our teachers and staff have great ideas for their students every day. Sometimes what they need is practical. Sometimes it’s creative. And sometimes it’s something they’ve dreamed about doing but haven’t had a way to fund.
That’s where the Wish List comes in.
The Wish List connects Red Wing Public Schools teachers and staff with community members, businesses and organizations who want to help make those ideas possible.
Needs. Wants. Dreams.
NEEDS
The practical things that help teachers, staff and students succeed but may not fit within traditional school funding.
WANTS
Items, resources or experiences that could make a classroom, program or student experience even better.
DREAMS
Those creative, outside-the-box ideas that could create an unforgettable opportunity for students.
Fishing poles? Absolutely. Supplies for a hands-on project? Tell us about it. Flexible seating? Let’s hear it. An experience you’ve always wanted to create for your students?
Not sure if your idea qualifies? Submit it. Big or small, practical or creative, we want to hear it.

How it Works.
Our mission is to ensure Red Wing Public Schools teachers and staff feel seen, appreciated and supported by connecting our community with the people who serve our students every day, celebrating their dedication and helping provide the resources, experiences and support they need to make a difference.
- Teachers & Staff Make a Wish
Four times throughout the school year, Red Wing Public Schools teachers and staff are invited to submit a need, want or dream.
2. We Review the Wish List Items
The Red Wing Schools Appreciation Committee reviews requests based on impact, need, available funding sources, longevity and feasibility.
3. We Share with the Community
Selected wishes are shared on here and on Facebook, giving individuals, businesses and organizations an opportunity to help.
4. Wish List Items are Fulfilled*
Community members can fund a request, donate toward a wish or help us connect an educator with the resources they need (*not all wishes can and will be fulfilled).
Help Make a Wish Happen
You don’t have to have a student in Red Wing Public Schools to make a difference in our schools.
Maybe you’re a local business that can provide an item or service.
Maybe you’re an organization looking for a meaningful way to give back.
Maybe you’re a community member who simply wants to say, “We’ve got you.”
Browse current teacher and staff wishes and choose an opportunity that’s meaningful to you.
Every fulfilled wish is more than an item.
It’s a reminder to our teachers and staff that their community sees them, appreciates them and is behind them.
One Week. One Big Thank You.
Every May during National Teacher Appreciation Week, Red Wing Gives brings our community together to celebrate the teachers and staff of Red Wing Public Schools.
What started in 2022 with four Red Wing moms and one heartfelt celebration has grown into a community-wide tradition.
Local businesses, organizations and community members come together to provide meals, gifts, discounts, special offers, activities and plenty of surprises, all with one purpose:
To make sure our teachers and staff know just how much Red Wing appreciates them.
Want to get involved?
Businesses and community partners can support Appreciation Week by:
- Providing teacher + staff discounts or promotions
- Donating door prizes
- Making a financial contribution
- Helping us create something special
Thank You, Red Wing Community
On behalf of the Red Wing Schools Appreciation Committee, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible businesses and organizations who came together to celebrate and support our teachers and school staff during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Your generosity – through donations, discounts, meals, and gifts – made our educators feel truly valued. From small tokens to big gestures, you reminded them how deeply appreciated they are by this amazing community.
Thanks to you, we were able to wrap our arms around the entire Red Wing School District and say, “THANK YOU for all you do.”
